Interesting how things come about in our hobby. Well, here we are with a Wildman Demon 150 which began during a discussion at one of the QCRS launches a couple of months ago, it started when CZTeacherman (Erik) mentioned that he liked the 4 inch Demon he has and was thinking about a 6 inch upscale. Tim , Erik, and I talked about the Demon being upscaled to 6 inch with a 98mm mount. Fast forward to our last launch in June and the launch was shut down early due to high wind conditions. I got there late and it was already shutdown, so I went over to Wildman's to pick up a few things. Well, I got my few things and Tim and I started to talk about an upscale Demon. So we proceeded for the next few hours working out the details on the design and Tim went to work getting the components together. According to Tim this is a true upscale of the design to 6 inch (Tim, you can chime in). I opted to go with the 75mm motor mount as I wanted to have a few more in that configuration. However, I realized that this kit can have inter-changeable fin cans, so you can have 2 fin cans one in 75mm and another in 98mm, if you wish. There are a few possibilities of configuring this kit.

Now, I am undecided on a paint scheme for this, so if anyone has any ideas, please share.

I want to thank Tim Lehr for taking the time to put the Demon together for me, and Erik for the idea.

The specs of the prototype kit are:

Nose cone: 36 inches
Payload tube: 24 inches
Booster tube: 24 inches
Tail cone: 24.75

Love it. Following.
Paint? I'm a fan of the classic clear coat on the red tube, paint the black surfaces black first...
On the other hand, Griffin's Demon is pretty spectacular, too

You mean the one he put 4 fins on? that thing is an abomination... almost as much as a 5 finned rocket!

@rockdoc- hope to see this one flying soon!

I like the translucent red just like it is. I think some people put furnture polish on it.

That is a great looking rocket. What is the weight of it is in the picture? Does it come with free help to get it on the pad and recovery for us older flyers?

Gary

Four fins are preferred- three fins a fine too.

er.. no. Three shall be the number of fins, and the number of the fins shall be three. Four shalt thou not have, neither have thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out.

Five is just right!!!

A few folks saw a couple of my rockets at MWP and local launches and saw what I started to do with the graphics.

Stickershock is doing some custom graphics for the super sized DEAMON following the same scheme.

Stay tuned for more.

I've been looking for an L3 bird, that just might be it on a 75.

Lookin' good, Gary! That's a really slick 6" bird. Hmmmm....WANT IT!

Thanks son, looking to put it up maiden flight at Bong, at the next WOOSH launch.

Surprise me- Call me with the results. Better yet, VIDEO!:point:
Outside of you, no one ever calls unless they need something...:sigh: Then its LEVERAGE time!:dark::lol:

That is going to be awesome Gary, wish I could see the flight this weekend

Brother Maynard, consult the book of armaments.

Hey Gary, I just noticed something. Have you been hiding this 6" Demon from us for a while, or do you always have Santa pillows on your sofa???
