Ok, plans.rocketshoppe has got decent scans of the decals (negative values for the colors) and the fins... Problem is, no dimensions (other than the fin thickness).

I need the length of the root edge of the fins, and the height or length of the "T" in the name "BAT" for my sim. Of course, I welcome new scans of the decals and fins with a ruler, or any variation of the instructions.

I did a little image analysis and concluded that the 300dpi pixel dimensions in the decal scan are almost certainly accurate - agreed within 2%. Print it correctly and you're good to go. It's harder to draw conclusions about the fin but it's a good quality scan to a 300 dpi TIF so it's likely to be accurate.

Caveduck, you forget... printing .pdfs and .tif files here in China have yet to prove accurate scaling. They are always off by some margin. Typically around 7/8ths to the inch, but sometimes 15/16ths to the inch, and I've not been able to predict far out of scale it'll be.

Holy cow, what kinda printers do you have over there? Pretty much any HP, Epson, Canon I've used here will do it right if you are careful to turn off "fit to page" in the print dialog.

I don't have a printer, I have to go to a printers to get things printed. I have no idea what it is as my ability to read simplified is only slightly better than a 3 year old native Chinese kid's abilities (I'm guessing).

Doh, I dunno why I didn't think of this a long time ago. If you have an image where you're confident the pixel dimensions are correct, you can just use Gimp or Photoshop to paste in an image of a ruler at the same scale. (pro tip - do it in a new layer). Excuse me while I go hang the shame curtains.

Problem here is... I'm not certain what the pixel dimensions are. If I was certain that it was 300dpi, I'd just rotate it until the root edge is parallel to the "base" of the image, then measure from that (in pixels)

Some of the issue is probably related to paper size. It's similar to the metric vs imperial system. North America uses 8.5 by 11 inches, while most of the rest of the world uses A4, based on the metric system. It's a little taller and not quite as wide. Prints that look beautiful on "letter" size can get skewed and/or cropped on A4 size., and vice versa. It was a problem I used to run into when working with Japanese and Chinese companies. I remember one Japanese guy even brought over a pack of A4 paper and had one printer assigned to visitors.

If you use photoshop, it opens an image at the default DPI. If you go into the resize menu, it should tell you what the current dpi is.

Don't have photoshop. Currently can't afford it. I also don't know how to use it.

Downloaded the image as part of a .pdf file, not a .tif or any other file type.

[EDIT] didn't realize that the image of the fin and the decals wasn't part of the .pdf. Downloaded each now.
