Is there such a thing as "Nothing"?
Yes.

Nothing = Vacuum

A vacuum cleaner is clearly a thing.

Speaking of which, if you clean a vacuum, are you, too, a vacuum cleaner?

Is it good if a vacuum really sucks?

Yes.

Nothing =vacuum

Not true according to science:
Dark energy makes up approximately 68% of the universe and appears to be associated with the vacuum in space. It is distributed evenly throughout the universe, not only in space but also in time – in other words, its effect is not diluted as the universe expands. The even distribution means that dark energy does not have any local gravitational effects, but rather a global effect on the universe as a whole. This leads to a repulsive force, which tends to accelerate the expansion of the universe. The rate of expansion and its acceleration can be measured by observations based on the Hubble law. These measurements, together with other scientific data, have confirmed the existence of dark energy and provide an estimate of just how much of this mysterious substance exists.

The universe expands into what? This begs the "Q" I asked before..Does there have to be something existing to have "Space".
;a boundless three-dimensional extent in which objects and events occur and have relative position and direction <infinite space and time>

Space, there's more space than we can imagine. Just like George Carlin said, we need a bigger space for more "Stuff"
I hope we are not going down the God rabbit hole to come up with the origins of where space came from.

Clearly, God created the universe because He needed space for His stuff ;)
I would like to think that God has forgiven George Carlin for his atheism and that somewhere they are having a good laugh over this.

In Jr High School, we came up with this analogy. Say, you have a paper bag with nothing in it. If you turn the bag upside down, nothing falls out. We summed this up as an excuse for Nothing, to be Something. But clearly it is not. Nothing is the lack of something. Nothing = Nothing.

Billy Preston is in me head now.

Now my head hurts. Is that because you made me think, or because i'm banging it on the desk?

Maybe you should've thought about the consequences before slammed a desk into your head. (Relativity.)

Oh, wait...

Yea, the "thinking" part is a problem, isn't it?

Very deeeep, man. Just makes my mind hurt... so dude, why are we?

The 3-dimensional space is unbounded, but it's not infinite, and it expands into a 4th dimension. Imagine the surface of a balloon. If you are a 2-dimensional being living on the surface of the balloon, you can move in any direction on the surface, and never reach an edge, so the space is unbounded. But it's not infinite. The surface curves through a 3rd dimension that the 2D being cannot perceive, and it has limited size when viewed from that 3rd dimension. If you blow up the balloon, the surface area of the balloon increases, because the balloon is expanding into the 3rd dimension. Same for our universe. It is a 3-dimensional "surface" expanding into a 4-dimensional "space" that we 3D creatures cannot perceive.

Soooo.....If God created the Universe,....Who created God?
(I've yet to get an acceptable realistic answer from any religious person)

Dark Energy is the life entity of all past humans?

Clearly, God created the universe because He needed space for His stuff ;)

This is exactly how the annual budget appropriations for the United States are determined: spending is unbounded, but it's not infinite, and it expands into a 4th dimension.

This might also describe my appetite and what's going on with my belly.

That's a common misconception. It's an expansion OF space, not an expansion INTO space. Things that are moving further away from us due to the expanding universe are not receding by moving THROUGH space --- space itself is filling into the space between us.

I smell confirmation bias.

Just kidding!
I surmise that there is confirmation bias, people can't smell things like that...

John, we are doing good today, mentioning god and not getting reprimanded by the moderators. I am a little disappointed

Hi, since the mods are on vacation, I'm your lousy sub today.
So how do you run things here?

Never mind that. I'll just play candy crush in the corner, carry on yourselves...

Hey! Stop talking so loud! What are you working on? (Also I can't focus on Candy Crush)...

Where did all the kids go? Is class over already?

Dog, your right! I ain't got Jack. He just left and is headed your way with a box of marshmellons. He said"NOTHING" would get in his way. Not quite sure what he meant?--H
