JimZ has the DRM (651), and Estes has the DBRM (1977), MDRM (9705), the most recent reissue's plans (651), and the Mini Max (2445) instructions. However, I can't turn up the original Citation Series Red Max (MK-2) plans from 1971 (or about).

I use the name "Red Max" as that is what the 1971 Estes Citation Catalog had it listed as See the ninfinger's site for more.

Oh, I've also read that someone's variant of the DRM came with a different body tube length than what was posted in the Estes Kit guide (the BT-60HE at 8.5" long). I'd like to verify that. So if you have any (or all) of the BT-60 versions, could you measure your body tubes?

Can anyone help here?

Thanks!
Jim

$5 shipped It is the 1971 Estes Citation KC2 Der RED MAX
original instructions has 3 hole punches along edge as well as spiral binder notches. There is a fold in the middle but it came in the kit that way. Also have a huge amount of original instructions and build sheets from 1961 thru 1989. This collection weighs about 30lbs.
There are 5 rockets in the Citation series I see.

I'm interested...

additional postage to chine would be $1.80 I sent him a link to a set of pictures as I have almost all the original Estes build sheets from 1961 to 1989.

Hrmm. What I want out of all this ( and am willing to fund ) is a) to preserve and disseminate as much of this collection as possible and b) to give Jim something fun to work on.

Steve The Contractor: can I -rent- that whole stack of paper from you for a bit?

It might be better to send them to someone with a good scanner that can save them in pdf and email them to Jim.
When he gets back he than can safely acquire the instructions personally or by mail.

I like the idea, that they be scanned before coming to me (I can do the work I need with that). I also like the idea that I can hold on to a Real Estes Citation kit's set of instructions (Read... Send them (carefully to avoid possible loss), but not before scanning them (JIC)).

Thanks dhbarr!

I also love the 2nd idea... I'd have done it myself (bought the instructions back when they came up for sale on Ebay), had I had the cash at the time. I didn't, and didn't try to get them.
