It's funny, you stress so much they'll stay in long enough, then they just hang out as long as they feel like it.

Thank goodness my wife and I never had to "go long" on the delivery, our two daughters were 4 weeks early and 2 weeks early, our son (middle child) was evicted about 3 days before full term (induced). Good luck on the new adventure, because the little buggers are a huge amount of work. "You spend the first year getting them to walk and talk, and the rest of their life getting them to sit down and shut up", not sure where that quote originally came from but its so true.

Edit: the quote apparently was from several sources and variations.

Chris,,

She actually didn't do any food cravings, at all, and didn't do pickles and ice cream together(she did eat ice cream, but not pickles).

Ours were nearly 10 month babies. Large. Both had to be induced to come out, so we didn't have the rushed drive to the hospital. Both now tower over their parents. At least, I think I am a parent. (I may need to have a word with the mailman....)

Hope everyone does well, it's a wild ride. Even with a bonus delay. :)

It's rocket baby time. Landru's wife is due any day now and my wife is due early November.

Ejection charges popping everywhere, hope they're all contained sufficiently...:eyeroll:

I'm just trying to imagine the sounds of rocket-assisted birthing... That is what you meant by rocket baby, isn't it? Are you using jet hitch?

And yes, it's easy for me to joke about it when this process is almost eight years in the past. Reiterating positive thoughts for all those who are about to become parents.

@tbonerocketeer - You may be ready for her to be done, but I can guarantee she is more ready! And that if you tell her you're ready for her to be done, I forecast a significant risk of blunt impact trauma.

I'm hoping motor deploy, we are not wanting to use electronics.

Just don't zipper it ;)

Yeah, I'm tired of her being pregnant. It's a guaranteed to be before next Wednesday

Yea...As I look over my shoulder to see if she's looking, by then end of each one, I was absolutely done with her being preggo to the point I considered reaching in grabbing them

We could start a tiny astronaut program.

Yeah, based on today's ultrasound, I'm going to need a bigger motor for this one...

I guess this is a case where "blow it out or blow it up" isn't a good option...

Finally....at the hospital. Now to wait it out.

My wife went in on a Friday evening and my son was born the next afternoon (while I was watching a golf tournament on TV which stayed on the whole time through the delivery BTW).

Savor the whole thing!

Dude! That must have been rough! My wife was done and recovering within 5 hours on the first one, and total time from first warning to birth on the final one was 2 hours (yeah, we missed the water breaking in my new truck by a whopping 5-10 minutes).
