I thought it was a good price,,, until now,, I'll have to buy another charger

That's the thing,, what connector is it ?? I don't have a clue.
If I knew maybe there's a JST-PH pigtail that'll work with the charger I have already.

I guess my question should have been what connector is this.

THANKS GUYS

Dunno what type of connector that is,looks a bit odd, never seen one before. but change it to a XT60 or XT30 or so.. they can handle 60A and 30A without issues :) . Almost every battery I have uses XT60, 3-5s up to 4000mAh. My smaller 1-2s uses XT30. :)

Joe,,
If that's a 2s lipo then it should have 2 plugs...
One would be a balance plug...
Or at least one plug with 3 wires in it....
Something is strange there...

What Teddy said. a balance charger is the best (and safest way) to charge any multiple cell Lipo batteries. A multiple cell battery will usually have a balance plug on it for proper charging.

That is true. However, not all have the balance plug. The battery is for a cheap quad copter. The typical buyer for an item such as this is not going to typically have a LiPo balance charger.

I would really like to be able to use the charger I have. its a tenergy 1-4 cells Li-Po/LiFe, goes from 5 prong to 2 prong JST-PH connectors.

would I be able to use the pig tails Ken posted with this set up? (safely)

You just need to have pins that fit and get the polarity right, my charger also checks for polarity before it starts charging.

Yes you would Joe...
This is the battery I've always flown--

Your charger would charge these just fine..
I've always used the JST plugs like the one that comes on this battery..

Remember, when storing Lipo's for the winter one should stick them on the charger (I have a B6) and use the storage setting. The batteries "keep" longer it's been said. They're kinda weird as opposed to Nimh and Nicads in that respect.

I had read on an RC forum that if you plan to store a LiPo longer than a couple days, you should set it to a storage charge. I also read that keeping them at really low charge for a couple months will damage them. I wonder if that's what happened to one of mine. It won't charge any more. I get a low V warning. Those things sure seem finicky.

I don't know, I haven't flown much this year and the ones I have (not the ones this post is about) seem to be fine.
Actually one I have on an SL100 hasn't flown in almost a year and it was fully charged. Even after a flight and a 2 hour hunt in the soy.

The battery in the picture is a 1s and all the chargers on that page are for 1s. The new battery you bought is a 2s.

Titan thanks for the link
The 2s was to be for my eggfinder,, but I have since bought other Li-Po's for it. (I figured that I have these 2s might as well find a use for them, but first I need to be able to charge them.
The 1s I use for my altimeters SL100, SL-CF, RRC3
