Do you know if the Nike smoke drag race is a go? Or are cti motors still hard to come by? I can finally make it this year and bought a Nike smoke just for the drag race.

Plan is for the drag race to proceed with the new Aerotech K2050, which will be introduced with a crazy great special including hardware. Of course it will need to be certified in time!

Even without Cesaroni availability problems, moving to Aerotech was likely, due to vmax deployment problems.

Wow.. cant wait to see details on the K2050.. am hoping it has all the Ns

Good to hear about the drag race, hopefully the motors are certified in time. Another question, I have heard that camping is allowed, but is RV camping allowed? My family is coming, and was wondering about bringing our camping trailer to stay in.

RV camping allowed, you'll find several there for the duration of the event.

Haven't booked my hotel yet but I'm planning to be there for all 3 days. And I'll have my Nike Smoke to fly whatever motor goes with the drag race. :)

Family says I can go as part of my birthday present, but no promises with an infant around.

Added some lights to built rocket... if I make it to Saturday night will give it a try .

I have to confirm my order to AT by this Sunday. Don't miss the deadline. I'm only adding a few "extras".
See you all next week.

How is the weather shaping up now that we are very close (2 days) away?

Weather forecast has low percent chance of rain and some wind Friday and Sunday.

I'm just going and see what happens, taking boots, poncho, and sun tan lotion.

I'll be there in the morning. My Nike Smoke has the last of its epoxy drying, so it should be good to go for tomorrow, as well as my night flight rocket.

My Punisher Mini is out there somewhere after tracker separation. 54mm red fiberglass tube, about three feet long overall with a super heavy nose and a funny looking rail button bracket. It is probably a field or two north and a little west of the pads. Please keep an eye out!

I flew my RW Terminator today for my L3 cert, but the drogue failed to deploy and it came in hot.
Working on a postmortem thread - if anyone has photos or video of the flight I'd appreciate it.

A K2050ST solo drag race experienced from the flight line was awesome! No chance to catch an image on the cell phone - way too fast. Can't wait to stuff that in the 3" Punisher in the build pile. With such a dramatic impact, the K2050 should be nicknamed K'POW!

Big thanks to Aerotech and Bay Area Rocketry for letting some of us get in on a fantastic introductory deal.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. I know first hand how it feels to crash an L3 project. Hopefully you'll figure out what happened and get it rebuilt.

I believe I flew the first ever certified K2050 in my Nike Smoke -

It was spectacular. More later.
