It's been a couple months since I made it out to the sod farm this summer but it looks like I'll be able to be there next weekend. Plan on burning a few blue motor I mixed up a few months ago on the test stand. Not sure I'll have any rockets ready to go so I'll be depending on everyone else to put on a good show. Any takers on an extra 38mm blue motor are welcome to it, after the successful tests obviously.

Who's coming and what ya got to fly?

Scott

I will be there, I now have a production version of Missileworks RTx tracker installed in both my madcow sensor and black brant 2.

Hey Scott, I may be up for that blue motor, Specifics?
PM me

Also, my son is going to be there and hopefully flying his Madcow Pike for his L1. Waiting on final weight to pick his motor.

As far as I know, Robert DeHate is still on for launching his full-scale Patriot Missile (16" X 19') on an M something-or-other. He's doing it both days. Should be awesome! I gave local TV contact info to the BOD, so maybe we'll get some news coverage.

Oh, and I'll be there Saturday with my usual five rockets, wife and two kids. Look for the Bat-mite sign if anyone wants to say hi.

Nice. I got mine as well but haven't done anything with it. Still need to dig out my 2 RRC3 and send them back for a flash. Everything showed up a week after we moved into our new house. Love to see how you've got them set up.

Trying to make this my first MDRA launch event.

Hope to see you there Tom. On Saturday we don't get started until about 12:00 since the launch is held at a working farm. Sunday we get started about 9:00. Stop by the RSO area and say hi.

What's the word on the winner of the LDRS 36 logo contest? Is there one?

We have a winner.........but, we have a few more things to work out prior to announcing the results.

See you Saturday.

Thank you. We still haven't decided on a Friday/Saturday visit or a Saturday/Sunday. Can I join/pay the day of the launch? OK to fly 29mm Vmax with motor deployment?

Sure, you can join on-site. I haven't heard a ruling on the VMax issue from the BoD.

I'd expect so much as MDRA allows just about anything that flies (a even stuff that doesn't :flyingpig:) But I hate to put any words in Bob's mouth as he generally just uses them to ridicule me.

I got this confirmation from Bob back when the VMAX rule came out, and I launched one last month. No way I would say this on my own :2:.

If the current weather forecast holds, it's going to be gorgeous! Sunny, clear, high visibility, highs around 90, winds peaking at 7 mph. That's for both days.

Gloria and Robert from AMW will launch their FULL SCALE PATRIOT at the MDRA sod farm.
Built 8 yrs. ago and flown for a second time a few weeks ago...the Patriot will launch Saturday and Sunday in Maryland.

Earlier this summer....

Nice pics, Tom. I have offered my availability to carry/lift/climb/load/whatever.

This weekend's flights will be a shake-out. If all goes well, they plan to launch it on a P motor at LDRS 36!

I have to work on Saturday--pulling a 24--but could come Sunday, depending on how the overnight stretch goes. Maybe bring Bucky Jones, or my Space Ark...

Later!

Weather looks favorable for Saturday, but I can only make Sunday. Let's hope the rain holds off.

A few pictures from Saturday . . .
