With the Independence Day 15% off sale, I couldn't resist. I am going to sell my Variax 705 5-string bass to pay for it.

Let's see ... rocket, retainer, 98 > 75 adapter, 2 pts RocketPoxy, 33" chute protector, and shipping, all for $659.59. I saved $115.16 off of the regular price. Now if only they had SkyAngle Cert XL chutes in stock.

I guess I'll pick up some Rocketman chutes and some One Bad Hawk recovery harnesses. A little Home Depot hardware, and I think I will list this as a Featured Flight at LDRS 36!

That I540 is an incredible L1 motor --- probably close to the biggest you can fly without going to L2.

You have to make the choice to trade the bass for the rocket, but the bass will never get stuck in trees on the Eastern Shore!

Hey....What's not to like...pretty solid looking design.
And it won't need all that tuning.

May as well get something -new- ready for LDRS.
Your bass wouldn't look as cool, unless you set it on fire ala Jimi Hendrix.

Should be a cool build. I'm a fan of the Formula series. I've set a goal to have one of each size, each a different color.
