I want to buy a Rouse Tech/Aerotech 75mm Min Diameter aft tail cone closure. From what I understand only the single throat nozzle can be used with that aft closure. My question is does the 75/2560 K560W have a single throat or a medusa nozzle. I also want to fly a M1297 and I know from previous M1297 flights it has a single throat nozzle.

Check out the drop down. Unfortunately, it's a medusa.

Probably would help a bit.

I wish AT would do away with the medusa and switch to all single throat nozzles.

According to this, there is/will be a single throat nozze available as it is required for the cross-compatible reloads.
All new reloads marked as being “AT Crossload Compatible” should already contain the single throat nozzle.

Ya I was thinking that too. So to be crossload compatible, the nozzle dimensions have to change. But the RCS site doesn't show the new nozzle dimensions for the single throat "medusa" replacement. The site looks to just sell the old medusa but then the dropdown shows single throat dimensions.

Anyone buy the crossload compatible nozzle replacement and have a picture of one?

Last month I flew my Mongoose 75 on a K560W, it had a medusa nozzle. The next day I flew it on a M1297W using a Rouse Tech aft tail cone closure. I commend you on your excellent choice of motors and hardware. :)

Very cool. Can you tell me some of ur numbers on the 2 flights? Altitude on both motors and mach? Did you do any tip to tip on the fins? Mine I have 3 layers of 5.7 oz carbon fiber 2x2 twill. I will be flying exact same motors at airfest in september.

The Mongoose went 11,354 feet on the K560W and 19,214 feet on the M1297W. The M motor flight was not perfectly vertical, it arced into the wind. Max velocity on the M1297 was 1,065 mph according to the Stratologger. The fins are surface mounted only, I did not do any tip to tip reinforcement.
