Second round of gray primer on my Madcow F/G 'Lil Goblin.

Sorted motor box looking for motors appropriate for above.

Marked rail button locations on my Madcow Frenzy that is still in need of fillets...lots of fillets...

Fillets...lots of fillets that's a Frenzy alright (or a darkstar/endeavour/tyrannosaur/velociraptor/thor/athena/talon....) :)

Finished my Leviathan. Will be flying this weekend on a G64 white lightning.

Edited a video compilation of a recent launch I went to at the Tri-Cities Rocketeers flying site.

Also finished this little 13mm stager. A downsized clone of Doug Sam's 24mm Tuber.

My fiancée designed the paint scheme. Tons of masking, but it came out great!

Had a good time at eRockets for build night last night. The last two build nights, I've been working on a FlisKits Alien8. Last week, got the motor mount and body tubes all together, everything sanded and ready to go. Last night, got the fins all cut, shaped, and attached at the base. Next week, I'll be looking to see if I can get the rest of the fins attached and get it pretty much done. Yay, me!

Cut a new fin for High Flier XL that was damaged (destroyed) in shipment. Found a nifty drift prediction app for my phone.

I had to pass by a store called the "Re-store" today, and stopped in hoping to find a good surface to use as a workbench area for my collapsible workbench. They have a hodge podge of discarded construction refuse for re-purposing.
I found the perfect piece. Obviously part of some type of shelving unit, but perfect in dimensions and everything for what I needed.
When I brought it up to the counter to buy it, they recognized it as part of one of THEIR shelves that they use to display their merchandise, and obviously then it was not for sale.:(
I had found it leaning up against some of the miscellaneous building supplies, so I had no Idea.

Another day of sanding and priming for the Madcow F/G Lil Goblin.

Then discovered I'd stored the rail button and weld nut from my Madcow Frenzy so well that I couldn't find it. Called up Mike at Madcow to get a replacement...and ended up buying another F/G Lil Goblin but this time with a 38mm stove pipe for those 1G Cesaroni motors.

The topper was that a few hours ago I remembered where I'd stashed the weld nut and rail button after all.

What a day!

Obviously you need to find the Re-Store Re-store that sells things from the Re-store :)

The Super Alphas for the basic class arrived today from AC Supply un-smashed or mutilated. Also added an Equinox and Goblin as giveaway premiums for incentive to produce nice builds of the Alphas.

Received the steel rod and aluminum base to make motor casting stands. Have to take to local machine shop to get base cut and rod threaded.

Also started on a RW Mongoose 29 carbon fiber. Using blue tube coupler and socket screws for motor retainer. Should get nice smooth airflow!

Finished assembly of my RW 6" Black Brant II. Will be starting the long process of priming and painting. I'm aiming for a "looks good on the pad" finish, not perfection :p

Watching Frank Burke's big foamies flying a couple weeks ago was very cool. So, I've put pen to paper again with some rough dimensions and structures for a big foamy. Lots to figure out but I'm pretty excited about this one.

Reached the white primer stage leaving a nice bright base for the fluoro pink airframe color on my Madcow Lil Goblin.

Resized a Doghouse rail button to fit on the weld nut of my Madcow Frenzy.

Rain and thunderstorms tomorrow. Just in time to force cancellation of the March LUNAR Snow Ranch launch and the rain date isn't looking any better.

California is the only state where launches get rained out during a four year drought. Grrrr!
