How do I like it ? I think it`s fantastic !!!!

It`s funny you post this ,as I have plans on making myself a 4" diam. also.I`m waiting for the tailcone (being made by Gordon "Sandman") of Roachwerks. It will be pretty close to scale ,like yours....I think actual diameter is 4.5 ".

Nice job !

Paul

PS- I just noticed where the seperation is in the rocket...cool !

you are right the actual diameter is 4.5" but since it was only 4 inches I made it a little taller than the 7.5 foot actual height. The tubing is phenolic, the motor tubes, fins and outer liner of the fin can are all G-10.The inner liner of the fin can is phenolic. And she flies great on a J-350! :)

Here is my full scale Performance Rocketry Arcas on a K550. I built it about 5 years ago. I am not sure if they still carry 4.5" tubing.

Paul,

You still need to convert that lawn dart into an ARCAS stubby!

You think you could fly it like that?
That would be an interesting flying kit...to put besides the ACME Spitfire.
A mangled Arcas.

That`s funny ,I was thinking about the ACME Spitfire when I posted that.

I think it will fly again

Both the airframe and nosecone are still listed on the site. How much was the kit?

-Braden

I believe it was around 300.00 dollars. As I said, I built it at least five years ago so I am not sure of the exact price.

As of now Curtis is not making the Arcas kit. Something about a bad mandrel.
I've heard he's going to make the kit again but I don't know when that'll happen.

I have a 4.5" fin can for that kit. i need the rest of the parts though.
Patiently waiting.

Check with Ken on the nose cone he may have one. I don’t know of any other sorce on the tubing.
