Looking for bulk rail buttons that will take a flathead machine screw...

And are available from Mad Cow Rocketry with sheet metal screws (https://www.madcowrocketry.com/rail-button-pack/) or from Apogee (https://www.madcowrocketry.com/rail-button-pack/) with machine screws and well nuts (or whatever they are called).

I just want the rail buttons in bulk.

Best place to get rail buttons in bulk is probably rail-buttons https://rail-buttons.com/1010delrin.html however it looks from the pictures they only carry flathead in 1515 size. It might be worth emailing them and checking to be sure. I doubt you are going to save a ton of money trying to find them without screws. Machine screws only account for a few pennies on a product that costs a few dollars.

I think Rail Buttons' buttons are flat and not tapered/recessed to accept a flat head screw.

"countersunk" is the word I was looking for... thanks. I wonder if Doghouse is the source or someone else is out there making these. Best price yet.

I have countersunk a couple of sets of normal rail buttons. Worked fine.

Always wondered why the default hardware for most button sets seems to be a screwhead that sticks out in the slipstream.
