I like the M48 tank. Hobby Lobby had a 1/35 Tamiya M60A1 with reactive armor marked down to $9 and I could not resist, I was thinking it would make a good nose cone for a silly, fantasy rapid tank deployment system. At that scale it would need some serious power.

Sounds like fun though! I have a 1/35th Sherman and same scale T-35 I've been toying with converting if the cardboard cut-outs prove correct and the mass is what I expect with Nose weight I think I can get them to fly and recovery on D12-3's. Haven't really gone that far yet:)

Continuing with the current fleet: Now we get into the Micro powered Odd-Roc's. starting in 2000 shortly after Quest introduced the new MMX motors there just had to be some Micro Odd-Rocks.....Fun a half the size:)

I might as well repost some of mine that are already here on the forum somewhere. Most are not all that odd, but whatever. The last one is 3FNC but was made from a flour tortilla, three corn chips and a fresh jalapeno pepper. Painted with enchilada sauce. Is that odd enough?

In my entire fleet of rocket I currently own only one Goonie and it's a Micro version of the Classic "Missile Toe" I call mine the Micro Missile Toe it just fit:) Then there are the flying animals..and feed:) 2004-2006

Still concentrating on Micro Odd-Rocs I got into a few "flying hardware" and more Christmas Odd-rockets. 2011 to 2013

The beer, pretzels, Christmas Candy and Mexican food were making me really hungry. Then I saw the old Quaker oats guy and it reminded me what is much better for my old tummy and below, darn!

Back to more traditional 13mm to 24mm Odd-Roc's.
some of these are go back to 2000 due to my rocket fleet numbering system. Most have flown several times since, it sometimes becomes hard to keep up:).
Several of this batch Light up for Night Launch flying. most are LED illuminated, powered by 20mm Lithium 3v cells. Odd, Lit and FUN.
the 4" cardstock "Applewhite" UFO's are used often in the Oop motor tests. and yep I have a ton of very Old Booster motors.

I was going to make the tank the nose weight and have a long Pershing like missile body behind it. Nice big fins and motor in back like it should be, unless I get taken in by something like gas dynamic stabilization.:y:

#4 does not have fins, and #5 has canted tractor motors! I like it!

Sure thing Guy's! Keep em coming.. seems like we all sort of forgot about this theme Thread.

I think one of my Oddest of Odd-Rocs is a D12 powered Turkey Trottin - Thanksgiving theme "Bird". then some other holiday theme offerings.
That should take us up to almost my entire Odd-Roc fleet.

The 1/3 scale Goddard's First Liquid fuel Rocket while a True Scale project is Odd enough to warrent a photo here....flies just like the original LOL!

sure enough Dick I noticed #4 didn't have fins also... is it one of those Gas dynamic models?

have the same Birdhouse Rocket sitting in the basement waiting for the Spirit to move me to converting it into some sort of Illuminated night launch thingy. I like the silver retro finish:)

Yes it is...a working GDS rocket.

I'll post more when I am back at a real computer.

This is a BI FINNED ROCKET and will fly like a rocket. It will have parachutes like a rocket and gently float down to earth like a rocket. It has a prop fin up front and an under carriage fin kinda up front as well. Traditional 4 fins in back. Any similarities it has to another flying machine is merely coincidental.

You need to get a tank model whose cannon will allow the installation of a motor. Add your clustered ones up front to counterbalance that motor and make sure it sits a little forward by making the muzzle brake a GDS tube. The cannon mount can be a smallish motor and make the forward ones BIGGER. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Your airplane creations are the oddest things that are replicas of things that are supposed to fly :)

OK, now I've ODed on oddrocs :) No way I can compliment you on all of them separately so I won't try. But, the nut and bolt is one of my favs!

There is even a micro in there ;) Oh yeah, the third one is 3FNC but in features a ...retro motor  The Heavenly Hobbies Backdraft.

Wow. That does sound a wee bit crazy. Canted tractor motors on a tank with a rear facing turret with a GDS gun barrel. No fins. Madness.

This is all I've got to offer, and its still a work in progress, stability-wise:
21166276553_5742f8e8fb_b.jpg

First flight was all kinds of squirrely. I guess when Rocksim says the stability factor is 80% - marginal, they mean it. Second flight after rearranging the structure of the nose cone and adding weight was much better, but delay was too long and the stiff breeze fouled it a bit. But I'm going in the right direction...

That's a great idea, wish I had thought of it ;)
