Hi guys, new to the forum here.

I've made 3 posts, only one has appeared. Two said moderator needed to approve before message would be posted, one of them went right up.

This normal? Anything I need to do to get my other two posts to show up? One of them I attempted to post 3-4 days ago.

How quickly did this one go up? Was there a delay while it got approved?

Never seem this before, what were the posts about? Do you have post numbers?

Hi guys, thanks for the support. One was in ground support. Posted a build thread on a launch pad... Another was in reply to this forum, under "My computer keeps turning off by itself". Didn't get the post numbers. I'll test it out again.

this post went up immediately. If it does it, it tells me immediately that it needs to be approved by a moderator as soon as I hit submit.

Yeah, that was attempt #2 and it worked. Not sure! Appears to be working now. If I encounter it again I'll screen shot it and post here! Thanks again guys.

There is an automatic function that can require moderation approval but it usually only triggers if the computer thinks the post looks suspicious for some reason. It's newish and we haven't seen it a lot, and never, until now on a real person, usually just on bots. Not sure why it might have flagged you. Not even really sure that was what happened.

I get why the moderators want to assess certain post topics and perhaps delete them from the board; too bad they can’t do anything about some of the advertisements that appear here that are borderline pornographic or just plain gross and disgusting.

Not sure why your getting those. I get some clothing ads from companies I've accessed before, as well as unrelated matters, but nothing even remotely approaching what you describe.

When I first read this post I checked your access rights and they were not restricted, and I found your other posts. Since cwbullet was addressing your issue I didn't chime in. I got to thinking today that the problem might be in your computer. How are your internet options set up? Make sure that your computer actually refreshes the page each time you go to it and doesn't display a cached version of the web page as that would describe the situation you describe.

And thread hijack has started. :) Thread was started with the intent of talking about required mod approval for posts, and now it is another thread complaining about ads. Welcome to TRF... :)

I made a pix gallery the other day, there was a pix of my truck motor, a few shots of a P-40 I was building, just shots of some of my projects. They all disapeard later that day :(

Please let us know about this sort of thing, because I am fairly certain that didn't get "moderated." If it was a bug in the server, I'm sure someone would like to know about it.

Hi Bob,

If you check the time and date stamps on my posts, I made the ones I was 'missing' after I made this thread. So I don't think you found the missing ones, just my second attempts which worked.

I actually went to the 'view my posts' option, and saw this-

"Results 1 to 7 of 9"

I have 2 missing posts. They're out there somewhere, somehow waiting for moderator approval if they haven't timed out. Whatever the issue was it's since resolved itself, so I'm not too concerned about it anymore. I have a feeling it was an over zealous anti-spam bot, which is much better than an under zealous one.

Because of this thread, I went searching in the mod panel and found a handful of posts that were "awaiting moderation." That function/feature is almost never turned on so I have no idea why it happened, but there were a small handful of posts stuck in there. I deleted some, but released the rest out into the wild.
