Just added many 99 cent auctions to our Ebay Store.

Follow links from our site to find these deals.

L@@K for larger lots of rockets as suggested here to keep the shipping down.

A group of several Sunward kits will be added soon!

Thanks!

Steve @cdi

Hi Steve: If you have an enemies list like Obama--do not read this--just put me on it--and get on with your life. I'm the guy that suggested that you put up large LOC kits for auction--but what do I know? In response to your posting on this forum--I actually looked at your ebay auctions. The first item that caught my eye was Z-Poxy for $14.50 plus $5.00 shipping--are you nuts? My local Hobby Town sells this same item for $7.95--no shipping. I see that you have listed a Loc Aura for some insane price--not exactly what I was suggesting. Stop whining--your prices are high--considering shipping. I do not know how you can expect us to ignore shipping costs in making a purchasing decision. I buy lots of rocketry items over the internet. I have purchased from you--but you have got to be realistic.

It is good for you that there is a retail store close to you. I have to drive two and a half hours to reach the nearest hobby store. Selling prices not withstanding, the shipping is reasonable. If you don't need it shipped, stop complaining and go the store. How do you expect a company to stay in business if they have to give their merchandis away. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. If you can afford it, stop being cheap.

Agreed. I hate paying shipping, too. Who does? But, realistically, $5 shipping is not at all unreasonable. I don't think many realize how much shipping actually costs the company. In most cases, companies make very little to no profit on the shipping; they charge their cost. For those, like myself, who need to purchase most of their rocketry items through the internet due to lack of hobby shops or ones that don't carry the kits or supplies I require, there's not much choice. Swallow the shipping bullet or do without, which isn't usually an option.

Also remember that if a retail establishment charges actual shipping charged by the shipper, they lose money on shipping. It still costs money to pay an employee to box it up, weigh it and get it ready to ship.

Last year I decided to unload some stuff from home on ebay and I was surprised at how much all the shipping supplies, gas, insurance, tracking and actual shipping charges totalled up. It was much higher than I anticipated and I don't grump about being charged for shipping nearly as much now. The big guys buy in bulk so their profit margin is better.

Having said that, when I buy on ebay I personally am attracted to auctions that have shipping costs more in line with what the seller actually pays, instead of inflated shipping to make the auction price look low. Often the final cost turns out to be the same--it's just a different marketing strategy.

TRF is not the place to take personal shots at others or incite political contraversies.

People may report their good treatment or mistreatment by a vendor and/or customer; that is a valued service of TRF. To remain in bounds, statements need to be factual and hearsay needs to be avoided.

Persons MAY ask for clarifications on policies and procedures and those same issues may be addressed. Getting into shouting/typing matches because of disagreements as to what constitutes good policy is not appropriate. If you have real issues to discuss, take it to a more private medium.

THe interjection of politics into a consumer discussion just inflames things further and serves no purpose. There is a reason TRF has a no politics policy: POLITICS GETS PEOPLE HOT UNDER THE COLLAR. We want to enjoy talking about rockets instead.

Go ahead and ask/answer questions. Go ahead and discuss "what works for you" in terms of sales. Please do not, however, seek to purposely hurt or insult others.

Thank you for your kind attention.

Hey I agree with you, the items you said were pricy are the items I sell the most of. I sell more glue on Ebay than I do on my rocketry site.

But what I wanted to POINT OUT is that I have MANY 99 cent deals.
If you think a $30.00 kits is pricy, please feel free not to bid. BUT 99 cents and shipping is a great deal everytime.

I only point these deals out because every week people call etc and find out they just missed a great deal on Ebay.

I suggest you find the BEST deal out there, in many cases I believe that would be my items on Ebay, NOT every time but often.

I bet you will bid any day now as more items are added.
