In a lighter mode than my other thread, I read "Watchmen" about 20(mumble) years ago and thought "This would be a freakin' great movie"....

Well, last night i couldn't resist the urge, and gave up nearly 3 hours of my life to see what I've been waiting for over 20 years.

I was not disappointed. The film as was rich and multilayered as the graphic novel. The changes from the book were quite the surprise, and Rorschach was more brutal and black and white than i could possibly imagine. There was a line that stuck with me from the book that I was waiting for, and it absolutely chilled me to hear him say it. If you read the book, you know what I'm talking about....

Go and see this film. It's weel worth the price.

I saw it when it came out on Friday. I had never read the book, but I am a fan of graphic novels like The Crow.

The movie was VERY well done. At no point did I feel I was missing anything; they did a good job of introducing each character as well as filling in the back story of the Minutemen. And Frank Miller treated the subject with plenty of respect for the merits of the book itself, instead of turning it into an over-stylized action thriller kind of movie.

Impressive and worth the time to see.

I won't be seeing it until like the night before NARCON. Won't have a car until then. But I am looking forward to it.

Just got back from seeing it. Absolutely awesome! Caught the IMAX version. Played to a sold-out audience. Nobody made a sound during the showing. It's very riveting. Worth every penny.

was it..."I'm not locked in here with you...You are locked in here with me..."?

I liked the movie so much, I went to see it again.

The movie had the courage to be different, and not be stuck in the standard lame Hollywood forumlas.

Just don't bring kids to see the movie. Definite R rating.

Liked that line too.....hehe

I really enjoyed the movie. I don't read comic books, but I saw the trailer and decided that I was going to have to watch it. Pretty awesome movie.
