Dropped in the HL(Alexandria LA) this morning to browse around. In clearance they had an E powered Estes Interceptor for <$20.00 and a few other nice bargains on several other rockets(one was E powered). I have an Interceptor E that's been in storage for more than a year and only partially completed, so I do not need another.

Same here in Little Rock, except the Interceptor E is $35. At less than $20 I may consider it.

Same here, too. At $35 for the IntE, I can wait.
But then, I think I have three or four still in bags, so I don't particularly feel the urge to grab these last few.

It doesn't appear to me that they want to sell them very badly....at least, not yet.

Well, they were on the clearance rack in St Louis a few weeks ago for the standard 40% off. I never had one before so I ended up with both of them at $32.99 ea. I think I might have a lifetime supply of Interceptor Es now. :cyclops:

I did see one but rockets rarely make it to clearance at our HL, and never sit there long. There are usually about 60 rocket exhibiters at our 4-H fair so except for RTF they get wiped out once a year so there's never much overstock.

Dropped by Hobby Lobby this morning and they had a pretty good buy in the Clearance aisle; it was the Educator's Pack,(or whatever they call it) a box of 12 rockets for a classroom setting. It was marked down to $12.95. I didn't buy it, but I was later thinking that it would provide a good supply of tubes and various other rocket building parts. :)

What you find on clearance will vary from store to store and most are already cleaned out.

On the good news front a little birdie has told me that Estes motor pricing will soon be fixed and many will have shelf tag prices below list price. Then you can use your coupon.

When I was in AZ,I went to Prescott to the HL there...they did not have much at all for rocket stuff.

Gotta love the resurrection of 3 year old threads.

Fred - I hope they bring the 29mm booster prices in line with the other 29mm motors. In these parts, the dash 0's have a $5 markup over the dash anything else.

I have had very little luck finding much of anything at Hobby Lobby's clearance walls in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I tend to think there's just too many of us rocketeers around these parts....

+1 to the "Clearance" section... I scored 4 Estes (rebranded AT) single use F motors for 8.99 each this past Saturday at the Oshkosh store.

Forget the store at the Scottsdale Pavilions, My buddy hits it every day on his way home, 40% coupon in hand, as he works nearby, another club member lives walking distance to the one at Chandler and the 101, same thing!

I recently picked up a Ventris for $22 off the clearance isle at HL. Was hoping for some motors, but there weren't any. I'll have to keep checking.

If what I was told is correct, all motors of a type will be the same and the shelf tag price will be lower than what we have been seeing for any of the delay times. The F15-0 pricing is quite out of whack. The current D12 pricing that I'm seeing around here is probably close to the new corrected prices we will be seeing for other motor types. Again, they should be shelf tag priced below list price. Not sure how long that will take to be flowed down from the top. They may have to work out their supply issues first. They are completely out of F15-6 motors in this region, so even though they normally only have one of each delay time on the peg, we may not see any for a while.

That is why I placed an absurdly large Hobbylinc order yesterday. Gotta help the TARC teams out. The F15-6 is superb.

Chris, There was a Ventris in my store for that price late last year, but either somebody bought it or they just put it 'in the back' somewhere. An employee had it in a cart one day with some other stuff and I never saw it again.

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing some of those Estes 29mm black powder making their way back to the Clearance section. :)
