If you use the high gloss KBS Diamond clear topcoat, it will have the same durability as a crank bait fishing lure, almost indestructible.

I've used KBS and Max2K and found Max2K to be MUCH more durable in rocketry use.

I've used many of the silver/chromes mentioned in this thread, too, and every single one of them will require some sort of clear coat to give them any longevity in the rocketry world.

I tried years ago just like Micromeister to clear coat chrome and it was a long and painful foist chase.

However, there seems to be newer promising developments.

Has anyone tried Allclad clears over chrome on rockets? This seems to be the best I've heard yet from a reputable source too.
