Fun stuff, especially seeing the Milky Way. With all the light pollution in the US it is now difficult to see the Milky Way in most locations throughout our country.

Ah, the pleasures of living in a SMALL (read pop. of 332) village, 17 miles away from the nearest large (read pop. 24,000) city. I can see the Milky Way on any cloudless night I choose.

Question?
Why can we see the lasers.
Shouldn't they be nearly invisible, unless there is a lot of dust or particulate matter in the air?
