In the process of helping to design our team's ESRA rocket, we found these (link) conformal rail guides. We are trying to simulate these, as we are quite concerned with the specific altitude. They advertise being lower drag than normal rail guides, but I can't find anything to verify this. Does anyone have any information on this, or have used these before and can speak for their usefulness? I have been looking around in OpenRocket and RasAero, but neither seem to have an option for something similar. The closest that I can find is RasAero's "launch shoes", but I haven't been able to actually verify that these are the same thing. Please help!
