Quest - HL-20 Lifting Body

Cardstock aeroshell shroud, long OOP.
Was going to clone it but a kit popped up on eBay real cheap so I pulled the trigger.
Received yesterday afternoon, assembled last night. Glue still drying.
Drag race with the Centuri X-24?

Looks good - I bough one years ago, haven't built it yet.

Launch was straight up, Ejected the motor, Glide was straight down into a tree. Recovered it a day later.

Fun rocket. I’ve killed about three with CATOs, trees, rapidly rising ground and the like.

I built quite a few clones but the ejecting motor I didn't like so I them. None of them glided well.
