Plaster Blaster, one of the west coast's most popular rocketry events, will this year be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of the original Star Wars! In recognition of this, Plaster Blaster 6 is being called Plaster Wars!
Organized by Tripoli San Diego, with assistance from DART, PB6 will be taking place from October 4th through the 7th in Plaster City, California, about an hour and a half east of San Diego. This even is well liked, typically attracting over 400 registered attendees from all over the world! Plaster Blaster has become the event to see astounding special projects! Past projects have included large scale models of NASA's Little Joe II and Space Shuttle and the Soviet Vostok and N-1 moon rocket.
This year's featured special projects will be a 21 foot tall X-wing fighter, with a 19 foot wingspan and wings that will articulate and a 12 foot Y-wing fighter! More information will be available on these projects soon at www.plasterblaster.com/projects.html .
The organizers of PB6 would like to invite you to participate as a sponsor for the traditional entrant's raffle. All raffle proceeds will be used to offset event expenses, allowing PB6 to be the world class event many have come to expect. In addition, past Plaster Blaster launches have received considerable press attention, within the rocketry community as well as in the hobby modeling industry, allowing our sponsors the opportunity to support the hobby while gaining valuable media exposure. Event organizers will make every effort to promote our sponsors, including the opportunity to display signage, distribute promotional materials, be credited on our sponsors web page, and be mentioned several times each day in the event PA announcements.
Your support of Plaster Blaster 6 would be greatly appreciated. Any size donation would be greatly accepted and acknowledged. Raffles are held daily, so multiple items would be greatly appreciated and get your name mentioned more times. Special promotional consideration will be provided for significant or otherwise unique and desirable donations.
