------------------
From start, Lockheed X-17 launches and prep used for nuclear warhead reentry vehicle heat shield development.
Thor launch at 16:45 and 18:45 with nice under-pad engine footage in latter.
Jupiter launch at 20:00, pre-launch shown afterwords.
Atlas 17D prep and launch starting 32:28. Static firing at 43:48, launch at 44:45.
Starting at 51:26, fascinating look at all of the guts of the Pioneer P-3 probe [see link below - a very ambitious effort] and it's pre-cleanroom-era assembly process, a probe intended to be a lunar orbiter carried by the first maiden Atlas Able flight. Payload fairing broke up at T+45 seconds due to improper venting of internal pressure leading to loss of the mission. Prep of Atlas Able and Pioneer P-3 attachment shown, but no launch.
1:05:40 starts a series of Thor lanuches. 1:07:39 shows somewhat difficult removal of ablative heat shield protective covering at nose of Thor.
1:26:23 starts a series of Bomarc launches.
Snark prep at 1:32:38 followed by great launch footage at 1:35:45.
