I am thinking about building a scale MIM-23B Army Hawk (maybe 3inch, not decided) and am embarking on a fruitless search for scale drawings...

Here's one glaring discrepency I see with some kits and all rsim files of the Hawk: In real missiles, the forward and rear fins are clearly separate, and attached only near the leading edge. However, on some smaller kits, the two fins are made to be as one unit....

notice the single fin design

notice how it's only attached at the leading edge...

the mim23A had a much closer gap thats hard to distinguish in alot of photos.

Hi Travis,
Check out What's Up Hobbies

They have a couple of Hawk kits, 4" and I think 7.5".
I've really been looking at picking up the 4" kit myself.
If you notice these kits have the separation between the upper and lower fins like you mention.
There is also a Rocksim file for a 4" scratch built kit on EMRR but you would have to modify the fins, they are one piece.
Good luck.
Kevin
