Does anybody manufacturer/sell hybrid systems? Or are they all custom
systems by whomever is bright enough to make them?

When the ATF still regulated APCP as an explosive, it drove quite a few folks towards hybrids, as a way to avoid an explosives permit. When the lawsuit was won, that interest died a bit.

There are still folks flying hybrids, just not as many.

I know there's still a fair amount of interest in hybrids outside of the US.

Kevin:

Thanks. I would assume that hybrids also give you the ability to
manufacture your own fuel system with some relative safety.

Yep..The NOX(nitrous oxide AKA laughing gas) is the oxidizer..The fuel grains can be pretty much anything that can burn..A lot of guys make their fuel grains out of regular PVC pipe..I am not a hybrid person, so will stop there before I make a big(ger?) misstatement..And they sound cool when they fly!;)

Thanks Panther... I also just did some knowledge hunting and found a
book called "The Hybrid Propulsion Manual" by William Colburn that appears
to be loaded with good information --
