The one thing you need to have, above all else, to host LDRS is a thick skin. You will have no end to the people who will complain about some detail that annoys them. These people will expect a professionally run event - they paid and "deserve" it. It does not matter to them that it is being done part time by a bunch of folks with day jobs.
I think it was one of the URRF's, but a guy was literally losing his **** on Bill because he closed the range on Sunday. Never mind the lightning striking all around us, the storm blowing in hard, and the low nasty black clouds.... this guy had driven from far away and spent a ton of money and time on his rocket and he should be able to launch it!
