First time scratch build and modification

Very nice! I especially like the fin design of the corn rocket. Did it fly well?

The corn rocket flew better than expected....Had to tighten up the fins a bit. Birch ply would have been better. Flew best on a C6-5 out of all the flights but still alot of bulk/resistance with the air. I do have a 18mm D motor to flew it on next....

Just use thinner Basswood or something. How did you get the spud cone?

Ahhhh! Spud cone! Ancient chinese secret! :rotflol:

Actually the spud cone is a Hobby Lobby paper mache egg. Not bad huh?

I love the corn rocket. The fins are great - I've been wanting to try something similar...I feel mine are generally too boring.
