I picked up a tube and NC from the diab-glo yard sale. Wondering how to get lights into the NC without too much modification (if any). Quite a small hole at the base. Ideas?

I don't have time to search and post links BUT: A three volt 2032 button cell fabbed into a holder of your design, two 4-5" leads and ultra white LED should light it up just fine. Do NOT solder directly to battery-drill hole in cone base to enlarge for LED. Shove in light (where it will flop around) You could use a section of piano wire, alum tube etc for stiffness. Wrap w/elec tape to kevlar line at base to mount. Really quick and especially dirty fix.

In the Diab-glo kits, the bottom of the NC is cut off, and a centering ring with LEDs point up, is inserted into the NC and epoxied in just above the NC shoulder.

I don't know what size you are talking about.

This is a board I have left over from another project.
Turns out it works great in a BT-80 nosecone.
Wickedly bright.
Uses a 12v A23 battery.

If you're interested I can get one of the boards out to you for $5.00 plus shipping.
PM if interested.

Actually if anyone is interested I can get you a board for $5.00 plus shipping.
PM me.

Heres a short quick way to add LEDs to your Nose Cone
sorry it's in (3) pages.

it could be just about ant LEDs setup, more for a general guide.
I got a few different types that are just about ready for Sale on the Forum.
4" bulk plate
4"/38mm Centering rings
4"/54mm Centering rings
38mm mountings setup
with very little playing , all can be used in your NC and/or Airframe.

Hope this HELPS!!!!!

Now I never do anything in only one color, just too easy to lose in the night sky, but add a bit of flashing colors, you'll never lose it!
pictured below are some of the different types I use and have.
