CTI 54mm burn mark question

This was my first CTI reload burned so not sure if this is common or not, or did I do something wrong.

K650SS - 54mm 5grain with a spacer in a 6 grain case

After removing the liner I you can see that it burned through at the delay grain. There corresponding residue on the inside of the case in attempting to clean out.
Is this normal or was this close to a failure?

The flight went great, no issues seen.

Its normal. If the case cleans up well and no sign of damage its ok for many more flights.

Great thanks Crossfire. It cleaned up in the spot with lots of elbow grease
