The pouring of the water into the Ramen shows the difference in the product sold in Japan vs the stuff we get. Where as we boil ours for 3 minutes theirs is steeped, I.E: they pour on hot water and steam it for 3 minute. The taste is vastly superior to the crud we get.

In my youth my father was in the Air Force and we were stationed at Yokota AFB in Japan. It was then I discovered the delights of Chuka Soba. The Chuka Soba sold in the US is nothing like it is there.


The memories of 40+ years don't fade. Much.....

Not really. If you go to an Asian food store (Japanese or Korean, but I prefer Korean...hehe), they sell some pretty good ramen. They also sell the ramen noodles in a cup, and all you have to do is add the packet of soup and boiling/hot water. That's kind of what you saw in the video, except they probably took out the noodles and put it in a bowl.

I like the first vid. Its good to see its not just us with the failures. I also like that they included the 98 delta two launch. Shame they didnt have the commentary "We have had an anomaly" that made me laugh.
