While browsing in the man-compatabile sliver of Hobby Lobby I noticed Alumilite two part expanding foam. Has anyone used this for a rocket application, and if so what is your impression? I want to have some on hand for nose weighting and the like, but don't really feel like mail ordering any. With the 40% off coupon from the Hobby Lobby App it would around $11.
I'm not looking to strengthen Mach 3 rockets or foam-and-fly anything Wildman makes, just weight some nose cones and other mundane applications.
In general what properties do you want out of such foam that you can expect to be quantified on the packaging (density, expansion ratio, etc.)?
