Guys.... almost there for prizes, but I need to share...

I've been doing some "cold calls" for sponsors and I assure you, I'm not paid enough to go through that very often, but I digress...

So, I was doing some "cold calls" and do you know that there are still potential sponsors that do not know about EMRR?! I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything, but folks, please.... if you see something on EMRR that motivates you to buy a rocketry product, would you please TELL THEM you learned about it on EMRR?

More importantly, please consider rewarding those that do sponsor EMRR contests and banners with your business. I don't do it for me (other than the piles of e-mail full of accolades... not), but it sure helps when sponsors hear that their contributions bring them customers and sales.

OKAY - Sorry, soapbox off!

Anyhow, I will have the Sponsors for the 2007 EMRR Challenge soon and looky, looky, people are signing up... new names too. Try to encourage some juniors to get involved, okay? Grow the hobby. Grow the hobby.

BTW: With so many rocket magazines now, you'd think someone would "REveal" EMRR through an article submission to one of them (hint, hint). I also love seeing EMRR mentioned in Club Newsletters.

OK, I'll be the first to officially cry "uncle"...

After having hopes to at least hit gold last year (choked at the end and didn't do the PMC), I was looking forward to the opportunity to redeem myself this year and hitting gold for a shot at some really sweet prizes. Kudos, by the way Nick, for scoring some very nice prize packages! I even had a lazy-man's surefire plan that would score in multiple categories for a single rocket (design a glider made of recycled materials).

Then came the usual procrastination--has to wait 'till after NARAM, then I got caught with some unanticipated post-NARAM activities brought about by a surprisingly successful NARAM, and now after nearly 6 months of slow/light travel at work I'm back to almost constant cross-country treks every week.

With two weeks left to get 'er done, I concede that I have zero chance.

Hopefully there are still a bunch of you left going for this, as I'd hate to see prizes like that go "easy", and I especially hate to see this type of contest dropped for lack of participation.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to BRS Hobbies for providing the grand prize for the 2007 Challenge! I got two HUGE boxes of goodies in the mail yesterday from them! I don't think I've ever ordered $300 worth of LPR/MPR kits in one sitting before! I'll post pics of the loot tonight!
