Today for the 40th anniversary of the launch of Apollo 11 the KSC Visitors Complex opened the new Apollo Treasures Gallery, I managed to score a bus pass and convince my manager to let me disappear for a few hours it was really cool. They had a panel discussion with the following, Apollo Astronauts, Aldrin, Cunningham, Mitchell, Worden, Duke, Brand, Carr, and McCandless. Mostly them sharing there thoughts, similar format to "In the Shadow of the Moon" questions about their thoughts and feelings of various mission events, some joking around, etc. Duke and Aldrin going back and forth for the landing from their points of view (Duke was CAPCOM), stories about the rover, Worden's space walk, still the farthest out ever and him trying to milk it for all it was worth, also how much he enjoyed the time alone as CM pilot. I took pictures but those are going to have to wait to get posted.
