Welcome Back Kotter actor dies!

Actor Ron Palillo, who played Arnold Horshack on the 1970s TV series "Welcome Back, Kotter," died Tuesday morning. He was 63.

I met Ron Palillo briefly a few years ago. A neighbor of ours produced a film in which he appeared and we were invited to the premiere. It was a fun evening. A lot of the attendees arrived in limos (though we drove ourselves in our minivan). We walked the red carpet between spotlights to enter the theater at Downtown Disney. After the film, we attended a reception at Planet Hollywood where we met Mr. Palillo. We only spent a few minutes with him, but found him to be very friendly.

Anyway, it's a shame ... 63 is too young. A person should be starting to enjoy retirement at that age.

Wasn't he on celbrity boxing some years back?

And he had a phone line where anybody could call him up for $20 or something? HE was short on cash at the time.
