Here's a couple rockets I just finished, the little yellow one is a "Nano". It measures 8.25 inches tall X .75 diameter. It accepts all 18mm Estes engines and comes down via mylar streamer. The black & white rocket is the "Apogee. It is 11" x 1.0 diameter and is also powered by standard 18MM Estes engine. It comes with a shiny chrome mylar 12" parachute...

I created an index entry for Starlight. Would you mind if I copied your post to start galleries for the individual rockets?

I'm not sure if this was my first or my second cluster. I do remember being pleasantly surprised that "it worked". That was do to my own lack of confidence and memories of what happened when I tried new things as a kid.

I just used the face card scheme. I liked it well enough and it has proven to be a reliable rocket over the years. It has needed no repairs since the original build in 07.

I have several versions of the Jay Hawk sitting in packages but the only built one I have is from Starlight Rocketry. It is a semi scale that's just over a foot long. It went together fairly easily and came out looking good, at least compared to a lot of my projects.

The build thread is located here: https://www.rocketryforum.com/showthread.php?t=5849

Various photo albums of the build, repairs and flights can be found on my Flikr site in this gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/23694991@N03/collections/72157622256798846/
