    Oh yah, it's in the Air & Space museum in Washington DC. It's in the gift shop.

    It had a major refurbishing in the '90s, most fans think it is way over weathered. I have some photos of it I took a few years ago I'll post them when I find them.

    It's really impressive to see!

    They did overdo the weathering. Looks like she's been abandoned...poor girl. Like a jilted bride with smeared mascara.

    Yup, kind of over done.

    Just for info, the 4th photo is a good view of the top of the saucer. That is the only surface that is original. It has never been touched.

    Why would a spacecraft that has only rarely seen an atmosphere need to show weathering?

    Blast damage maybe, but weathering?

    The extreme radiation of space along with cruising at hundreds of times the speed of light is certainly going to mess up event the nicest paint job.
