I just got through using Skype for the first time and I highly recommend it. Skype is free software that allows you to make telephone calls over the internet uisng a headset/mic.
I made 3 calls totaling about 30 minutes and the clarify and clearness was great. I might add these calls were made on an 3 mb adsl line while a download of a movie was going on in the background.
SKYPE is offering free local and long distnace calls through the USA and Canada till the end of the year. SO if you have some rocketeer friends halfway across the country, here a free way to talk to them as often and as much as you want.
