We are frequently directing newcomers to a local club. So why not add your club to the Rocket Club Frappr Map at https://www.frappr.com/rocketclubs

Please use your
name : club's abreviated name like SEARS
zipcode: your main launch site or city
shoutout: club full name and web site url
photo: your logo would be nice

If you need an entry removed let me know.

I entered MDRA and NARHAMS, although I had a hard time with the zip for Price, MD :)

BTW, I notice some extra characters afer the links when I view the entries on the bottom of the page. Can these be cleaned up without breaking the links?
 
Dick,

It does not seem to be handling the http link. There are admin functions but is only to remove a comment, picture, or a person. I can remove your comment (shoutout) and you can put in another one. Maybe you can put in www part without the http.

I entered a few western clubs. the frappr web page would not accept the correct zip code (89412) for AeroPAC, so it's listed as 89411.

Please remove the entry for CRASH that is in Castle Rock, CO. The actual entry is the one in Denver.
 
LaneKG - how can we make some updates to the map? I'd like to move AeroPAC from Genoa, NV, to the correct zip code for Gerlach (89412).

I have deleted AEROPAC. Please put it back in with correct ZIP Code. Sorry about the trouble.

OK, I used the zip code for Empire, NV - close enough.

I figured out the zip code for Gerlach NV (89412) is a special zip code, it is just a PO Box. (talk about a really small town!!) that must be the problem for frappr, it doesn't know where the zip code is because the PO Box could be anywhere. I bet the PO Box is in Empire.
 
Just peachy! I entered in the info for DART (Diego Area Rocketry Team) and for some reason, the system put in a zip code for someplace in Kentucky, instead of the 92109 location for our Fiesta Island launch site!

I don't suppose anyone from here has been travelling to KY for any of the monthly launches...

I guess you win for the furthest distance driven to your 'local' club's field :D

I removed DART so you could try another ZIP to get you out of KY and back to CA.

If anyone else needs their entry removed so they can make corrections, please leave me a reply or PM.

East Anglian Rocketry Society are on the map. Might need to redo it with a bigger logo at some point but it's there for now.
