Bummer - neither worked. This is the embed code direct from YouTube.
MOD EDIT:
Tom, if you click on the You Tube button after clicking on 'Post Reply'(you need to be in the 'advanced' message editor) it will put the You Tube code on either end of the imbed code..Like so:
Here is your video with the You Tube codes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jGKN1ZZdQGw&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jGKN1ZZdQGw&hl=en_US&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
2nd Edit: Hmmmm, still doesn't want to work..Get an error message of a 'malformed video ID'...

You just want to put the Video ID in the YOUTUBE tags - in the video URL, this is the part that comes after "/watch?v="
For example, the video you were trying to post should be:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_fC9ALwghI
<YOUTUBE>r_fC9ALwghI</YOUTUBE>
But replacing the < > brackets with [ ] ones.
Eg:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_fC9ALwghI
