Hello,
Does NAR have any regulations on the placement of the battery either near the launch pad or near the launch controller? What is the preferred location near the pad or near the launch controller?

Thanks in advance,
Brian

I don't believe there are any regs that state the location of the battery. I think it is a matter of how your launch system is designed.

At our club, the batteries are located near the pads. This enables you to have the pads farther away from the controller.

No, the Nar has no perferrance as to battery placement. Usually the batter is placed at the controller. However if your building a Relay system or an HPR away pad it is much more effiecent to place the battery at the pad with a light gage control circuit running the actual coil closure operations.
