I was doing a little surfing and found an interesting "Fact sheet" about the propellants used by the space shuttle. I thought that our "EX" members along with the engineers and chemists might like to see this;

In a nut shell, the shuttle uses the following on each mission;

1,012,611 gallons of Hydrogen (628,540 gallons is used during loading)
250,000 gallons of Oxygen
129 gallons of Hydrazine
1,480 gallons of Monomethylhydrazine
1,890178 gallons of Nitrogen Tetroxide
2,173,500 lbs of Nitrogen
52 gallons of Refrigerant 21
19 gallons of Ammonia
