54/38mm motor adapter doesn't fit!

I'm getting ready to launch my BSD Thor for the first time next weekend & want to use a Pro38 I205. I got my hands on a PML 54/38 HD motor adapter today. All the parts dry fit just fine but the 54mm tube doesn't fit inside the Thor's 54mm MMT

If I do a dry fit WITHOUT the 54mm tube on the adapter, the centering rings have a fair amount of wiggle

It's either too big or too small. What do I do??? Anyone have any ideas? Thank you for your help!!

Actually I figured it out on my own. The answer is sanding... LOTS & LOTS of sanding

I just overreacted & kinda freaked out. <taking a deep breath in & slowly letting it out> Ahhh... much better now
