Custom sheet metal blanks?

Hi all,

I'm trying to find a way of getting some pieces of thin (<1mm) sheet metal custom cut for me, to a size of about 10" square. I don't really care what metal it is, so long as it's ferrous (i.e. will take a magnet) and won't rust immediately if kept indoors.

I don't suppose any of you have any suggestions for who to look to for this kind of thing?

Try your local Heat and Air Conditioner Center. They have tons of sheet metal.
You'll also be suprised at what you can find at a local flea market.

try a local machine shop or sheet metal shop .they usually scrap anything under 12"

also the home centers usually have sheet metal,Im not sure about cutting services tho
