After applying and sanding down several coats of sanding sealer should the last coat be sanded off aswell or should it be left on the balsa???

I'd say sand it as smooth as possible with relatively high grit paper... primer doesn't really go on too smooth and smoothness is required for a covering paint layer to be smooth... works for me. My problem is just not globbing glue which causes little bumps here and there.... guess I'm never totally perfect, maybe I shouldn't worry about it so much... ok, I won't.

The last coat should get a light sanding of very very fine (600 GRIT) sandpaper.

Then primer...then sand againd with 600 grit.

Then paint.
