I am building a large rocket out of scratch and need some good shock cord. I have used Nylon before but it came with a kit...where is a good place to buy the stuff alone. I looked at a hardware store but they only had braided

Thanks

Ryan

Check ROL auctions and Ebay. You can get the stuff much cheaper there than through a retailer. How much do you need?

I dont know it is a 10ft rocket with dual deploy so I would say at least 60ft 30 fot each side. unless I need more for each side

Several places, including Rocky Mountain Rocketry (https://www.rockymountainrocketry.com) sell 9/16" tubular nylon with loops sewn in the ends. Very convenient.

I'd get 2 30 footers with loops. Use quick links and they can be easily moved between rockets. Also suggest adding a 36" NOMEX shock cord protector at the ejection charge end of each to prevent heat damage.

Just my $0.02.

I beleive RMR is no longer doing mail order. Too bad ; they had good stuff and prices. They will be missed.

Like someone else said try eBay. There is a guy there selling rolls of 900'+ for $30 plus shipping. I've bought from him. Its good stuff and I would recomend him.

Found this link when looking for some 1" stuff
