The other day I was out of masking tape so after looking around a little I found a role of electrical tape.

Since I had nothing else I used it to tape of a Nose Cone. It worked beautifuly The electrical tape it stretchable so it easily fits around the noscone, I have been looking for a tape that could do this for a while and now I have found it by mistake!!

the electrical tape didn't leave any sticky residue on the NC?
if it didn't I'm gonna try it out

There was no sticky residue. The tape was only on there a short time (about 12hrs). This may just be the stuff I am using or maybe just the time. I kept it in my cool garage too I don't know if these factors affected it or it was the brand.

Maybe it was the NC...you know those LOC NCs nothing sticks to 'em

What material is your nose cone? and have you tried this on a paper body tube?

My NC is plastic but it is covered with paint. I usually don't mask a bare BT because anything would peal the paper off. I prime the rocket first, or I paint the first color (the one easiest to paint over)

The paint has the same finish so it will probably work anywhere on the rocket.
