mach buster drag race

to practise my fiberglassing skills(the first time) i decided to make a mach buster since i had all the parts laying around: a quest nose cone wiht epoxy in the tip for weight, a cardboard tube i had laying around that fitted(it has a slightly thicker wall than the normal quest tube) 3 top fins from my A2. i fiberglass the body tube with 2.25oz cloth i today i hope to fiberglass the fins on.
the fun thing is that Matt, another rocketry forum member from my local club is building one to the same specs and we are going to have a drag race on G80s, on Feb the 2nd.

i dont have a camera so i put the body tube on the scaner(it was dry)

Try a mismatch of motors (if you can get them).

I would like to see a side by side drag race between a G80 and a G25.

Sort of a tortise and a hare race.

I kinda think the G25 would go higher. Less speed...less drag!

yea that would be nice but we dont have any G25s in NZ so it gonna be G80s
