Completed one of these last week. The three year old really wanted to launch an egg so we're all set now.

Was just wondering for those of you that have this rocket or are experienced with some egg lofting what you have found to be the best packing material for packing that egg in the nose cone?

We wanna bring it back in one piece and not scrambled if we can.. LOL

Thanks

Jason

The infamous "dog barf" recovery wadding works pretty good.

Just fluff it up a bit first.

OH YEH!! don't forget to put some in the rocket to protect the chute too!

The old Estes Eggspress recommended you use packaging bubble wrap. I don't have the Courier, so I don't know if one wrap will be too much. The Estes Omloid came with a neat little egg foam insulator prefabricated to hold an egg snug.

As long as the egg is snug and does not really shift around or move, any soft packaging material (cotton, Tshirt, foam, etc) should be OK. A direct impact with the payload bay may cause a crack.

Good luck!

Well, you could always use one hard-boiled...
If the launch is OK, no one will ever know! ;)
