That is very cool. I wonder if a standard production of that bird will be cheaper than a production run of a typical plane. It looks like there will be alot more material that goes into the FanWing.

It looks to me like an old school motorless lawnmower. 
Pretty unique. I'm glad to hear someone's noodle is still working. Sometimes I get to feeling that we've gone as far as we can, then you turn on the news and some new idea spawns new innovations.
